ABOUT JOSHUA

Joshua Lu is an Audio Recording, and Mixing Engineer based in Boston, Massachusetts. He is currently the lead engineer of Wellspring Sound in Acton, MA, and a Studio Operations Supervisor at Berklee College of Music. 

He has a lot of experience recording for in-studio, performance and field recording sessions,

proficient in recording and mixing for Classical large & small ensembles, soloists; Jazz bands; Pop/Modern record productions and live show sound mixing. He has also done many production projects including music videos, online choirs and live music for streaming. Apart from that, Joshua has set foot into the film and media post-production world as well, and has done several student projects as a dubbing mixer.

Music-wise, Joshua Lu is a classically trained clarinetist. He started learning the clarinet at the age of 8. He joined the Shanghai Pudong Youth Symphony Orchestra during late middle school and became the principal clarinetist during high school. During his time at Berklee, he joined the Berklee Contemporary Symphony Orchestra as bass clarinetist, and later became principal clarinetist.
